FAQ

Quick answers

Is Blitz really self-custodial?

Yes. Your 12-word backup generates your keys on your device. Neither Blitz nor Spark can move your funds. There is no reset if you lose the backup, so protect it carefully. See what self-custody means.

Does Blitz work with other Lightning wallets?

Yes. Your Lightning address, BOLT11 invoices, LNURL, Spark, on-chain, and pay links all interoperate.

What does the 12-word backup support?

Blitz uses a 12-word BIP39 backup to restore your wallet on a new device or in another compatible app. Keep the words offline and never share them.

What happens if I send Bitcoin to the wrong address?

Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed. Check the recipient, asset, amount, and fee before you confirm. If you are unsure, send a small test payment first.

Does Blitz support on-chain Bitcoin?

Yes. Blitz can show on-chain Bitcoin send and receive options where available. Miner fees and confirmation times vary with network conditions.

Can I import an existing wallet backup?

Since Blitz is a Layer 2 Bitcoin wallet built on Spark, only other Spark backups can be restored in Blitz Wallet.

Make your first Bitcoin payment simple

Download Blitz, save your 12-word backup, and send a gift link to a friend. If they are new to Blitz, they can create a wallet from the link before claiming.
