What is a Lightning Address?
A Lightning Address is a readable way to receive Lightning payments.
In Blitz, your contact name becomes an address such as
you@blitzwalletapp.com.
One address, many places to use it
It’s your contact name
Your Blitz contact name becomes your Lightning address. No long invoice to copy.
Choose USD or BTC
Customize the receiving currency. Receive as USD (USDB) to keep value stable, or as BTC to stack.
Per-account addresses
Each personal account and each NWC sub-account can have its own Lightning Address, with the same USD or BTC options.
Example
If Alex chooses “receive as USD,” any Lightning payment to
alex@blitzwalletapp.com lands as USDB. Switch to BTC
anytime in settings.
Share it wherever you post
Put it on profiles
Add it to X, Nostr, or your bio. Anyone with a Lightning wallet can pay it.
Works with compatible wallets
Other compatible wallets can pay it too. The sender needs a wallet that supports Lightning Addresses. If their wallet cannot resolve the address, share a one-time invoice QR instead.
When a Lightning payment does not arrive
Check the spelling
Addresses are exact. Confirm the contact name and domain before the sender pays.
Check the wallet
The sender must use a wallet that supports Lightning Addresses. A BOLT11 invoice QR is a useful fallback.
Check the preference
If you chose USDB, the payment may appear in your dollar balance instead of your BTC balance.

Can a Lightning Address receive dollars?
Yes. A Blitz Lightning Address can be set to receive as BTC or USDB, the dollar balance on Spark. The selected preference determines where the incoming payment appears.
Can every Lightning wallet pay a Lightning Address?
The sender needs a wallet that supports Lightning Addresses. If it cannot resolve the address, share a one-time invoice QR instead.
Why has a Lightning payment not arrived?
Check the spelling, confirm that the sender wallet supports Lightning Addresses, and check whether the payment landed in your BTC or USDB balance based on your receive preference.
