Connect apps to Blitz Wallet
Let apps like Telegram bots, Nostr clients and games request payments from a separate Blitz account, with the permissions and spending budget you choose.
An app wants to connect to Blitz
- On your phone, tap Open in Blitz.
- On a computer, scan the code with the Blitz camera (Send → Scan).
- Review what the app asks for, then approve or decline.
The app chose its own name, so only approve a request you just started yourself. No secret is shared: the app uses its own key.
This connection link isn't valid
Ask the app for a new link, or create a connection manually in Blitz → Settings → Wallet Connect.
Apps can request, but your wallet decides
A separate account
Connected apps use your Wallet Connect account, with its own balance. Your main balance is never available to them.
Permissions per app
Choose what each app can do: receive payments, send payments, see your balance, see transactions or check invoices.
Spending budgets
Cap what an app can send per day, week, month or year. Blitz enforces the limit on your phone, not the app.
Approve it in one tap
Apps that support one-tap connections send you a link. Nothing to copy, and no secret leaves the app.
Open the link
Tap the app's connect link on your phone, or scan its QR code with Blitz.
Review the request
Blitz shows the permissions and budget the app asks for. Sending stays off unless you turn it on.
Approve
The app connects right away. Change or remove it any time in Settings → Wallet Connect.
Apps that need a connection string
Some apps ask you to paste a connection string instead. In Blitz, go to Settings → Wallet Connect → Add connection, choose permissions and a budget, and copy the string into the app. Treat it like a password: anyone who has it can use that connection.
Your wallet, right in your chats
Check, receive and pay
Message @BlitzWalletBot to see your balance, create invoices and pay them. Every payment needs your confirmation and PIN.
Request money in any chat
Type @BlitzWalletBot 5000 pizza in any chat to post
a payment request. Friends pay it from their own wallet; your
balance stays private.
Good habits for connected apps
One connection per app
Give each app its own connection so you can remove one without touching the others.
Set a budget
A budget limits what an app could spend even if it were compromised.
Approve only what you started
Apps name themselves. Decline any request you didn't just begin.
Wallet Connect questions
What is Wallet Connect?
Wallet Connect (Nostr Wallet Connect, NWC) is an open protocol that lets apps ask your wallet to create invoices, check your balance or send payments. In Blitz, connected apps use a separate Wallet Connect account, and you choose what each app may do.
Can a connected app reach my main Blitz balance?
No. Connected apps only use your Wallet Connect account, which has its own balance. Your main balance is never available to them.
How do I disconnect an app?
Open Blitz, go to Settings → Wallet Connect, choose the connection and delete it. The app loses access immediately.
Why does Wallet Connect need notifications?
Your wallet lives on your phone. Requests from apps reach Blitz as push notifications, so Blitz can answer them even when the app is closed.
